Dr Lisa Chong graduated with first class honour from Otago University in 1996. Dr Chong has continued to develop her knowledge and update her skills by attending many dental courses and seminars centered around orthodontics, chirodontics, orthopaedic dentistry, cranial and full mouth rehabilitation, sleep dentistry and focus on the holistic approach to oral health. Her work with fearful and anxious patients motivated her to search for other, pain free alternatives to incorporate into her work. She uses biocompatible products and provides testing for people with allergies, uses new and emerging sedation techniques to ensure you are comfortable and worry free, as well as providing alternatives to mainstream dentistry. She has explored the use of a naturopath, Reiki for faster wound healing and made a link between natural therapies and dentistry. Her 15 years in dentistry has enabled her to explore the most effective ways of treating patients who are anxious and apprehensive of any form of dental work.
