Dr David Ellis

Cairns Dentist welcomes Dr David Ellis in Mount Isa, for all their latest dental treatments and techniques, given gently by their caring team of dentists.

I graduated in 1994 from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in the north east of England, with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. I worked privately for 3 years in the north east before immigrating to Australia at the end of 1997. I have practised high quality family dentistry for the past 17 years mainly in country Queensland, with a short spell spent in Western Australia. Prior to moving to Mt Isa my family and I spent the past 6 ½ years in Biloela, Central Queensland. I moved to Mt Isa at the beginning of 2015 with my wife, Jo, a serving police officer, and our three young daughters. Having settled our girls into their new schools, we plan to stay in Mt Isa for between 3 and 5 years. To keep abreast of the constant advances in dental procedures & technology, I keenly attend many seminars & postgraduate courses, endeavouring to enhance my broad knowledge of patient treatments & care. Outside of work I enjoy being involved with the local community both through the girl’s school and sporting activities, and through community initiatives associated with Jo’s work. We head off camping at every opportunity and I love to fish whenever the girls allow.
